The introduction about Levodopa and the demonstration that dopamine loss is the key pathological feature of PD have revolutionized the field of PD therapeutics. In most cases of Parkinson’s disease, protein deposits called Lewy Bodies. It is unclear whether Lewy bodies play an important role in killing nerve cells or just part of the cells which are responsible to the Parkinson’s disease. Nearly 15 percent of people with PD have motor symptoms that are not controlled with levodopa.
